Samuel Downer Esq
My Dear Sir,
Your Circular of the 19th inst. inviting me “to attend a reunion of the Free Soilers of 1848.” is before me.
(DV) I will be there.
Altho [sic] there were a few black sheep in the flock, yet it was a political party of more real honesty and unselfish purpose, than I greatly fear, will ever again exist in this Country.
Very truly yours
Albert G. Browne
