Dear Sir
I have your letter inviting me to a reunion of the Free Soilers of 1848, at Melville Gardens, on Thursday the ninth of day of August.
It gives me great pleasure to accept your kind invitation to meet the old friends of that day, when we were called many hard names for loving and adopting the great idea of Liberty for all mankind
Very Truly your friend
