My Dear Sir,
I see in the Globe of this morning that it is your inten-tion to print a pamphlet report of the proceedings of 1848, at the Landing.
…[illegible]… the pamphlet would be treasured safe by thousands, I have no doubt.
If you will par-don a suggestion: would it not add to the interest of the pamphlet, if from the great number present, you should receive short con-tributions, narra-ting …[illegible]… and incidents within their own obser-vations, in the ab-olition struggle, and the …[illegible]… and successful march of the free soil party.
From the con-tributions so made to you, you could select such, or such portions of each as might give interest to the book, leave personal[?] interes-ting [sic] historical facts - to the …[illegible]… of those who come after us.
I am yours
very truly
