Letter from Julia R. Anagnos to Samuel Downer requesting an invitation for John S. Dwight
Institution for Blind.
Dear Mr Downer,
I know that I take a great liberty in writing to say to you that it would give me very great pleasure if you thought proper to extend an invitation for your hospitable fete, to our old friend, Mr John Dwight, Ed. Musical Journal. He was one of the earliest Free Soilers, though not a public man politically; + would, I think, enjoy the Reunion with great zest, being about the most thorough liberal whom I know, + very genial.
Pray excuse my suggesting his name. In case you should see fit to send to him, the address is, 12, Pemberton Sq.
Believe me ever
Yours very sincerely,
Julia M. Anagnos
