Dear Mr Downer,
On Wednesday morning at eleven I begin a long argument at State House on Bridgewater …[illegible]….
I will meet you at ten at your office and will invite Bird. I would even prefer nine but let it stand as ten unless other-wise arranged.
Yours truly,
Edward L. Pierce
If Bird should happen in today, and you would send for me, I would go at one to your office
Why not write to son of Joshua R. Giddings and ask for …[illegible]…
his address is J.A. Giddings, Jefferson Astabula County, Ohio
