Letter from Charles Francis Adams to Samuel Downer requesting a copy of the reunion publication
Title
Letter from Charles Francis Adams to Samuel Downer requesting a copy of the reunion publication
Description
In this letter Charles Francis Adams discusses and unknown person who has talked about his speech at the reunion of the Free Soil Party. He states that based upon this person's remarks, he must not know very much about the party. However, the man claims to have been a delegate for the party in 1848, and Adams therefore thinks he would like to have a copy of the pamphlet from the reunion. He closes by stating that he thinks the pamphlet is full of important history.

My Dear Sir.
Here is a man I do not know who talks about my oration, sharing how little he knows . But he says he was a delegate in '48, and if you have a spare copy of your pamphlet would be delighted, I am sure.
I think the pamphlet is full of interesting history
