On the back of this postcard Jabez L. M. Curry states that he has read the New York Herald's account of the Free Soil Party reunion and is very interested in it. He is particularly interested in the history of political parties in the United States and is thinking of writing an article on the subject. He closes the letter by asking for a copy of the published proceedings of the reunion. The front of the postcard is addressed to Samuel Downer.
