This item is a declaration from the City Council of Boston officially designating November 16, 1982 as Kenneth L. Janey. The declaration states that this was done to commemorate Janey's work for Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) as a job trainer for unemployed individuals as well as a manager in the organization's Neighborhood Employment Centers. It also says that through his work with ABCD he helped thousands of individuals in the Boston area.

The declaration also states that on November 16, 1982 Janey's friends and co-workers will be gathering to recognize his dedication to his job and the mission of the organization.
