This item is an article from September 14, 1967 edition of the Hingham Journal.  It discusses the fact that the Weymouth Housing Committee has initiated four lectures on the subject of position of African Americans in the United States.  There are multiple sponsors for the lectures, including the Hingham Freedom Movement.  Each session will be forty minutes long and will include both a lecture by a prominent speaker and then small group discussions among the audience.  The purpose of the lectures is to inform South Shore residents on the issue of civil rights and also to open the path for in-depth discussions of the subject.  The article states that opposing views are welcome and encouraged.  The sessions will be held at St. Paul's School Hall beginning on Septer 27th at 8pm.
