Dear Sir:

I have the pleasure to acknowledge the receipt of your favor of the 26th inst.[sic] and beg to say - Providence permitting - it will afford me great satisfaction to meet with the old tried and true friends of Freedom - the survivors of the Free Soilers of 1848 - at <insertion: the> proposed reunion on the 9th of August.
