East Walpole,

                July 26, 1877

Dear Downer:

By a singular piece of good luck, I met Bishop Haven in the street yester-day.  I want very much that he should be with us and he says he will be glad to go.  Please address – Rev. Gilbert Haven, 38 Bromfield St.  Also, please invite Hon. L. M. Crane, Dalton, Mass.

                Very truly yours,

                                F. W. Bird
