Title

Newspaper clippings from the Lowell Daily Citizen

Description

These two newspaper clippings were taken from July 26, 1877 edition of the Lowell Daily Citizen.  The first clipping contains two articles.  The first discusses the Free Soil Party's Buffalo Convention in 1848 as well as the proposed reunion in Hingham, Massachusetts.  It also has an article about the wages of working class citizens in the United States.

The second newspaper clipping contains two articles as well.  The first discusses the growing importance of the textile industry around the world.  The United States has become both a consumer and producer of textiles, with textile mills supplying many jobs.
