OFFICE OF THE

BOSTON DAILY ADVERTISER,

No. 29 COURT STREET,

Boston, August 6, 1877

Dear Sir:

With your permission, I think we should like to have two reporters present at the gathering of Free Soilers on Thursday, in order that we may do justice to what promises to be an occasion of unusual interest.  Probably we shall send Mr. Olin and Mr. Bacon - two of our best men.

                Very Truly Yours

                                George H. Smith,

                                                News Editor

Samuel Downer, Esq.
