Dear Sir
I wish very much to go to yr.[sic] fete on Thursday but can't yet make it out. I can't leave here in the early train, (for have reasons) - the second train does not reach Boston till aft 12.45 + that is too late for yr.[sic] 2d boat - Nor is there a train fr.[sic] Boston to Hingham between 11.15 + 2.30. (I suppose D. Landing is only a drive of some 2 miles from Hingham + I could reach Hingham in a Braintree station. If you can think of any way in wh.[sic] I can get there, on the above state of facts, let me know.
Yours[?] truly
T. W. Higginson
