Dear Sir,

I received your note and in reply I will say that nothing could give me more pleasure than to accept of your kind invitation to be with on the 9^th of the month, you may therefore expect to see me as I know of nothing to prevent of my being present at that time,  Allow me to name a few who done good service to the cause of that year and who may not all be known to you, and who I think would like to be present.-

Robert F. Folman –

These are all that are all that alive that I can think of that you do not know off who where[sic] Free Soilers in 1848 at the Lower Mills. –

I hope you will pardon me for takeing[sic] the liberty of nameing[sic] these gentlemen as I thought you would like to know of them. –
