Title

Letter from John Davis Long to His Parents Zadoc and Julia Long about His Life Plans

Description

In this letter, written on September 4, 1865, John Davis Long tells his parents, Zadoc and Julia Long, that he does not wish to return to his childhood home in Buckfield, Maine. He wishes to remain in his current position as long it is profitable, but after much thought does not believe he will stay long in the legal field. He then discusses some of his recent activities, including walking to East Boston and reminiscing with friends that he knows from Buckfield.
