Description

This is a photocopy of a letter written from Abraham Lincoln to Solomon Lincoln on March 6, 1848. In the letter Abraham discusses the history of his family, including the movements of his father and grandfather. He states that unfortunately he has very little information for his family before the time of his grandfather. Solomon eventually determined that Abraham descended from Hingham founder Samuel Lincoln (d. 1690).
